Bay Park opens Endoscopy Center

ProMedica Bay Park Hospital’s recently completed Endoscopy Center is drawing positive reviews from patients, physicians and staff.

The new 4,600 square foot center, which was completed in July, was constructed in what was “shell space” in the hospital’s Garden Level. The unused space was built intentionally for future growth and expansion.

New research has found that the majority of Ohio’s children are not on track in cognitive development by the third grade, and the number is even lower for children living below the poverty level.

According to a report released last week by the Annie E. Casey Foundation, in Ohio, almost half of children under age 8 are from low-income families.

Learning to "fight fair" in a relationship

Even in the most loving of relationships there are going to be times when the two of you don't agree about something. When that happens, it's important to be able to disagree in a productive, helpful way.

Understanding how to disagree is a sign of a healthy relationship. It's realizing that you can have opposite viewpoints, yet know that you're still safe, physically and emotionally, because each of you trusts the other person to eventually work through this.
