Members of the community are invited to join Janet Clough, of Curtice, and Team Fox for the 6th annual Team Fox Walk Saturday, June 18, at 10 a.m. at Nature Trails Park in Northwood.
Clough started the annual walk six years ago in memory of her father, Lester Cowell, who battled Parkinson's Disease for 10 years. Cowell, a loving family man, a WWII veteran and watercolor artist, retired from LOF in 1984 after 41 years as a general foreman in the template department. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1995 and passed away in 2004.
“We still miss him every day but he lives on in his beautiful paintings,” Clough said. “We want to raise money for MJFF because of their efforts to find a cure and to make a difference to those living with PD.

“In the past five years, we have raised over $10,000 and we are proud of the positive impact we've made and the support we've received,” Clough said.
The theme for this year’s event is “Bring a Friend.” The trail is a one-mile loop so walkers can go the distance they are comfortable with, she said.
Funds raised benefit the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. The foundation is working with scientists and researchers to improve treatments and find a cure for Parkinson’s.
Refreshments will be provided. There will also be a chance to win prizes.
Donation forms will be provided at the walk. For more information, visit Clough’s Team Fox page at www.teamfox.org and search for Janet Clough.
