The Toledo Area Humane Society (TAHS) still has many kittens and cats up for adoption and close to 200 currently in foster homes.
The TAHS, in an effort to find them homes, is holding a “Kitten Shower” on Saturday, August 11 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. All cats and kittens will have their adoption fees reduced to $5.
The TAHS has been very successful this summer with its “$10 Tuesdays” and “$5 Fridays” adoption promotions, which has helped hundreds of adult cats and kittens find loving homes. During the spring and summer months, humane societies, animal shelters and animal rescue organizations across the country have been overwhelmed with litters of kittens.
With so many cats and kittens to care for, TAHS is requesting gifts for the kittens during its Kitten Shower. TAHS is always in need of cat food to care for all of the kittens in the shelter and in foster care. The shelter is also in need of new and gently used blankets, towels and small animal carriers. Party favors will be given to all cats and kittens who are adopted. Treats will also be offered to guests at the kitten shower.
Donations are greatly appreciated to help cover costs and save more animals. All cats, kittens, dogs and puppies adopted from the TAHS are spayed or neutered, get microchipped, receive vaccines and get a physical exam by on-staff veterinarians.
The TAHS is open Tuesday through Friday from 11a.m. – 7p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. For more information, call 419-891-0705 or visit www.toledoareahumanesociety.org
