Assault case moved
The case of a Lake Township man charged with striking a police officer has been bound over to the Wood County Common Pleas Court.
James Caswell, 84, of Cramer Street, was charged June 12 after he allegedly slapped the arm of a police officer who’d been called to a Kearsley Street residence where Caswell was involved in a dispute over vehicles parked in the driveway to a garage he uses.
Police have responded to numerous calls to the Kearsley residence on complaints involving Caswell, according to Mark Hummer, township police chief.
The most recent case was originally filed in Perrysburg Municipal Court.
