According to the agriculture department, all of the products have unknown production dates and were distributed to retail and institutional customers in Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, and West Virginia between July 1 and Oct. 6.
The problem was discovered by FSIS personnel when following up on a complaint. The investigation is on-going, the agriculture department said, and more regulatory action may be taken when the investigation is complete.
The FSIS hasn’t received any reports of illness attributed to the products, it said.
It is the second recall this month of an Ohio company’s products.
