Arraignment hearings are scheduled for Oct. 19 for two suspects in the robbery last week of the Millbury branch of Genoa Bank on State Route 51.
Steven Perales, 45, of Georgetown Drive, Oregon, and Heather Beasley, 24, who gave no address to authorities, have been charged in Ottawa County Municipal Court with aggravated robbery.
According to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department, Beasley entered the bank Tuesday morning and gave a note to a teller demanding $5,000 and indicated she was carrying a gun.
Bank personnel were able to provide a description of the vehicle Beasley entered in the bank’s parking lot and that it headed west on Route 51.
Police units from Oregon and Northwood stopped a vehicle matching the description on Wheeling Street near Brown Road.
A teller was transported by Ottawa County Sheriff Stephen Levorchick and a detective with the Ottawa County Drug Task Force to where the suspects were stopped and was able to identify Beasley.
The car, a 2002 Dodge Neon, was registered to Perales, who was driving when the vehicle was stopped.
Clothing that Beasley had reportedly worn while in the bank was found in the back seat along with cash taken from the bank, according to the sheriff’s report.
Authorities also obtained a search warrant for a hotel room in Stony Ridge where Beasley had been staying but said they found no evidence.
The suspects were also interviewed by agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Their hearings are scheduled for 8:30 a.m.
