The newest park in Lake Township is already benefiting from a grant from the Wood County Park District.
The township trustees Wednesday accepted a grant of $2,490 from the district to be used to purchase a split rail fence for Moline Meadows Park.
The township received the park site at 5594 Moline-Martin Road under forfeiture last year. It covers almost one acre.
The township parks committee sponsored a contest this summer for residents to name the park and the winning name was submitted by Kaitlyn Huffman, 10, of Isch Road.
