St. Boniface students grateful for family, pets, pumpkin pie

Parents topped the list of blessings St. Boniface students are thankful for, followed closely by brothers and sisters, pets and pumpkin pie.

The annual feast was prepared by students and teachers and shared with invited guests. Over plates packed with turkey and all the trimmings, the school family and their guests shared what they were thankful for, and their favorite parts of the feast.

Buzzed driving is drunk driving

The holidays are a time for celebration, visiting loved ones and reflecting on the year past and the year ahead, yet the holiday spirit can be destroyed in a second by the recklessness of a drunk driver.

This month, the Sandusky County Health Department is joining with highway safety partners and law enforcement organizations across the country to remind everyone that Buzzed Driving is Drunk Driving, and that drinking and driving don’t mix.

Once-golden leaves completing their lifecycle for the year

November has come and my yards are a carpet of gold and bronze leaves and the hostas in beds along my picket fence are a bright yellow-gold color that will soon turn to brown as the weather grows colder.
