Both the Toledo Zoo and Fisher-Price have decades of experience creating great memories for children, so it’s no surprise the two have joined forces.

Area families won’t want to miss Fisher-Price® Playdate Weekend July 28 to 29 in the zoo’s Main Plaza. Activities are free with zoo admission.

All weekend long from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., children 5 years and younger can explore the coolest new Fisher-Price toys in a giant play area that includes the Power Wheels driving track. The Master Moves Mickey dance stage will be open, too, for kids to break out their best dance moves.

On Saturday, July 28, Dora the Explorer will make 20-minute appearances at the top of each hour between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. near the African Lodge. On Sunday, July 29, the Fisher-Price Little People characters Eddie & Sonya Lee will greet kids on grounds.

On Sunday, kids can dine with Dora in the African Lodge (separate fee required). Seatings are at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Advance reservations are required. Other than the dining experience, Dora will not be on grounds Sunday.

This summer, the Toledo Zoo is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (last admission). For more information, visit toledozoo.org or call 419-385-4040. Lucas County residents are admitted free of charge each Monday from 10 a.m. to noon. ID showing proof of residency is required.
