According to The Old Farmer’s Almanac, autumn will officially begin Sept. 23 at 5:05 a.m. The folks in Luckey will be ready, willing and able to welcome the new season when the 29th Annual Luckey Fall Festival kicks off that same day at 8 a.m.
The old-fashioned fall festival, which runs Sept. 23 to 25 at Basic Park, located between Krotzer Avenue (SR 582) and Gilbert Road on Adams Street in Luckey, will be a celebration of all things autumn, according to Keith Niederkohr, who helps publicize the event.
Niederkohr, who has never missed a festival since the celebrations started as a fall dance in the park, says he looks forward to the last weekend in September every year.
