Game lovers in the Eastern Maumee Bay communities will no longer have to cross the Maumee River to buy their favorite video games. Game Stop last week opened a new store in the Navarre Plaza at 3555 Navarre.

Dave Zona, manager, said the store sells game systems such as Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360 and Sony Play Station and carries more than 1,000 games, both new and used. The range runs from family oriented to mature games such as Call of Duty.

The store is one of 17 in the Toledo area and 4,500 nationally, Zona said. There are eight employees.

Zona said a grand opening is planned for this week. Hours are Monday thru Saturday 11 to 9 and Sunday 11 to 6.

Zona is an Oregon resident.
