music will have them dancing on Adams Street, too.
The country western band’s performance is among the highlights of the 28th annual festival, which runs Sept. 24-26 on Adams Street in Basic Park between SR 582 (Krotzer Avenue) and Gilbert Road.
An antique tractor pull, crafts, displays of antique cars and gas engines, a daily sawmill demonstration, a variety of food booths and a flea market are all part of the festivities all three days. In addition, there will be a muzzleloaders encampment and a steam engine spark show.
Scales open at 8 a.m. Friday and the Eastwood FFA Antique Pull kicks off the festival weekend at 10 a.m. Supper will be available beginning at 4 p.m. in the main tent. Bingo gets underway at 6:30 p.m., as does the Luckey Area Business Tractor Pull. Unlike past years, there will be no live band on Friday night this year.
Saturday On Saturday, activities begin at 7 a.m. with breakfast available and an apple butter-making demonstration. The weigh-in for the antique tractors gets going at 8 a.m. and the tractor pull revs up at 11:15 a.m.
A classic auto display begins at 10 a.m. Bingo numbers will be called starting at noon, which is when the hobo dinner is also available. Beginning at 1 p.m., a horseshoe pitching competition kicks off. The Power of Yesteryear Club Raffle Tractor Drawing is set for 4 p.m.
The Main Street Country Band will perform at 6:30 p.m. on the pulling track, weather permitting.
Sunday Breakfast will be available at 7 a.m. Sunday, followed by a 9:30 a.m. church service to get the last day underway. A chicken barbecue is planned at 11:30 a.m. at the bingo tent. (There will be no bingo on Sunday.)
At 1 p.m., horseshoe pitching will resume. Registration will also begin for the adult and kiddie pedal tractor pull that gets underway at 2 p.m. All drawings will be held at the close of the festival at 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
What makes all this old-time fall family fun even better? Admission is free.
To help encourage people to come and stay for the whole weekend, there is a limited amount of non-exhibitor camping available at $30 for the weekend (no hookups available). No ATVs will be permitted on the ground. No generators after 11 p.m.
