Historical Society and Ottawa County Historical Museum will offer an opportunity for local residents to share theirs with the community April 8 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Museum, 126 W. Third St., Port Clinton.

Any old photographs depicting Ottawa County people, places, lifestyles, buildings and activities prior to 1960 and as far back as possible are welcome.

To participate, schedule an appointment by calling Nancy Dunham at 419-797-2244.

The photographs will be scanned on site, indexed and returned immediately. Historical society members will be on hand to record names, dates and relevant information about the photographs. The photos will be used for OCHM and OCHS community collections and for publication in “The People of Ottawa County,” an oral history publication.

Clear, sharp images are most desirable, but weaker photos are acceptable, as they can be electronically enhanced.
