A cool evening breeze. Beautiful surroundings. Toe-tapping music.
It’s time again for Music Under the Stars at the Toledo Zoo, an eight-week series of free musical events featuring the Toledo Concert Band with conductor Sam Szor, commentator Gordon Ward, and local guest artists.
Beginning this Sunday, July 13 at 7:30 p.m., come and experience this unique family-friendly series at the beautiful Toledo Zoo Amphitheatre, located at 2700 Broadway.
Music Director and Conductor Sam Szor returns for his 56th season, along with legendary commentator, Gordon Ward. An estimated 2 million loyal audience members have attended since the popular concert series’ inception.
“This wonderful tradition of free concerts would not be possible were it not for the generous support from the sponsors,” Toledo Concert Band manager, Keith McWatters, said. “Providing eight concerts featuring the area’s most talented professional musicians and entertainers is a wonderful tribute to the sponsor’s investment in the quality of life programs for our community and region.”
“I am pleased to begin my 56th season of Music Under the Stars,” Szor said. “The support of this community has been overwhelming and I look forward to another wonderful season.”
This summer’s performance schedule includes:
