Millions have heard and sung along with James Taylor’s 1970s hit song, “You’ve Got a Friend,” (penned and sung by his close friend Carole King).

And millions have seen and purchased DVDs of the television series “Friends.”

The Lake Township Friendship Committee isn’t expecting millions by any stretch of the imagination, but they are expecting the usual big turnout at their annual Friendship Day celebration Aug. 8 and 9 at Friendship Park. The park and its pond are located next to the township hall at 27975 Cummings Rd.
