What’s your idea of Halloween fun? Is it picking pumpkins in a placid pastoral patch, or maybe having the bejeebers scared out of you at a “haunted” house? How do a casket race or Grave Robber Bingo sound?

There’s plenty of Halloween fun planned throughout the area in the coming weeks. A sampling includes:
• Halloween Campout, Oct. 10-11, East Harbor State Park, 1169 N. Buck Rd., Marblehead. A ghoulish good time with a bonfire, dance, scarecrow-building contest and a seriously spooky haunted house. 419-734-4424, ext. 2/eastharborstatepark.org.
• Garrison Ghostwalk, Fort Meigs State Memorial, 29100 W. River Rd., Perrysburg. Oct. 17-18, 24-25, 7-9 p.m. Enjoy a "spirited" stroll and encounter the spookier side of this historic place accompanied by an 1812 guide. Reservations required/419-874-4121.

Using GPS technology, the Bowlander family has created a 15-acre maze with more than two miles of twisting, turning paths in the shape of an elephant, a donkey and the words “McCain” and “Obama.”
