It’s time again for Music Under the Stars at the Toledo Zoo, an eight-week series of free musical events featuring the Toledo Concert Band with conductor Sam Szor, commentator Gordon Ward, and local guest artists.

This Sunday and every Sunday through Aug. 31 at 7:30 p.m, come and experience the unique family-friendly series at the beautiful Toledo Zoo Amphitheatre, located at 2700 Broadway.

TOLEDO - Join 13 local cultural organizations as they celebrate Arts Gone Wild! at The Toledo Zoo Aug. 8 through 11. All activities, performances, demonstrations and events are included with zoo admission. On Monday from 10 a.m. to noon, Lucas County residents with valid ID receive free admission.

The line-up of activities includes:

Arts Commission of Greater Toledo: Hands-on activity: Friday–Monday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Create a “found object frog.” Choose from recycled materials of various colors, and then make your mark on a 20-foot-by-20-foot temporary mosaic of Toledo’s favorite amphibian - the frog! It’s like a collaborative paint-by-number, without the mess.

PERRYSBURG - Fat Fish Blue, home of the Funny Bone, is set to open at Levis Commons Aug. 4 for food service and live entertainment and Sept. 6 for comedy routines.

The establishment is located on the second floor of the Orleans Building in the Entertainment District at Levis Commons and will be operated by Greg Rufty, recently appointed vice president of Restaurant Operations for Dillin Corp., Jeff Gase, general manager and a team of restaurant and service professionals.

Fat Fish Blue home of the Funny Bone, which features a balcony overlooking the amphitheatre and the Town Green at Levis Commons, will offer creative Louisiana-Creole cooking and a relaxed atmosphere.
