Fall, Halloween fun for boys & ghouls of all ages

Walbridge-Fest, Inc., will present the 13th annual Spooktacular (yes, the 13th one) Oct. 9 and 10 at Loop Park in Walbridge.

Friday-evening activities, which will run from 6 to 10 p.m., will include carnival rides and fun in the Haunted Shelter House.

Saturday’s activities include:
• Carnival rides
• Hay rides
• Haunted Shelter House
• Magic and puppet shows
• Pumpkin decorating
• Coloring contest
• Seasonal food
• Car show at 3 p.m. (no fee)
• Pet costume contest at 6 p.m.
• Costume contest (all ages)) at 6:30 p.m.
• Light the Night Parade at dusk, followed by trick-or-treating

The Haunted Shelter House will also be open Oct. 24 and 31 from 6 to 10 p.m. 

Meet Me at TMA is a monthly program hosted by the Toledo Museum of Art (TMA), in cooperation with the Alzheimer’s Association, Northwest Ohio Chapter.

The monthly program features interactive tours of the museum's collection of art, tailored to individuals who are experiencing forgetfulness, mild confusion or difficulty finding the right words, along with their family members and caregivers.

The program provides an expressive outlet and forum for dialogue through guided tours and discussion in the museum's galleries. Specially trained museum educators engage participants in dialogue, as art can be a rich and satisfying experience while providing stimulation to people with Alzheimer's disease.
