Talented performers from the Fremont Community Theatre will open the Hayes Presidential Center’s 2012 Verandah Concert series Wednesday, June 6 with music from their past and future theater-season performances.
The musical portion of the outdoor concert begins at 7 p.m. and is offered free of charge thanks to sponsorship from Fremont Federal Credit Union.
Concertgoers are invited to come early for an old-fashioned ice cream social at 6:45 p.m. Those attending are advised to bring a blanket or lawn chair.
Verandah Concerts take place twice a month on Wednesday evenings in June, July, and August. Other performances this year include:
• June 20 – Bob Ford, folk music;
• July 18 – Terra Brass Choir;
• Aug. 1 – Ottawa County Bluegrass Band;
• Aug. 15 – North Coast Big Band;
Since July 4 falls on a Wednesday this year, the Center’s annual Independence Day Concert will replace one of the July Verandah Concerts.
In the event of thunderstorms on concert night, the concert will be canceled. For updates, call 800-998-PRES.
