The Oregon-Jerusalem Historical Society will present its 2011 “Holiday Home Tour” Dec. 3 and 4.
This year’s tour will feature Euclid Park –“Old Eastmoreland,” platted in 1923 with 248 lots. It is one of the first subdivisions in Oregon.
It is uncertain when it acquired the local vernacular name “Old Eastmoreland.” The sub-division’s terrain is unique to the flat Black Swamp area since it has natural, gently rolling hills. The terrain was a result of glacial movement and overflow of Otter Creek and was most appealing for home construction.
