No matter what the weather prognosticators say, the forecast for Wood County is fair for Aug. 2-8 as the annual Agricultural Fair sets up shop at the county fairgrounds, located at 13800 West Poe Rd., Bowling Green.
Gates open at 8 a.m. daily. Admission prices are $6, with kids 9 and younger admitted free. Weekly passes are available for $24. Ride prices are $12 for noon to 6 p.m. rides; $15 from 5 to 11 p.m. and $18 from noon to 11 p.m., except Monday and Wednesday, when rides are $10 from noon to 6 p.m.
Daily attractions at the fair include Pioneer Park, Masters of the Chainsaw demonstrations, Babyland sponsored by Eastwood FFA, pony rides and more.

8-10:30 p.m.: Connor Rose & Main Street Band.
9 p.m.: Baked goods auction (Home & Garden Building).
Aug. 3: D.A.R.E. Day, Kids’ Ride Special ($10 noon-6 p.m.), Chamber Member Business Day 9 a.m.: Mule Pull (Grandstand), Tractor Operator Contest (track infield).
2 p.m.: Pony Pull (Grandstand).
5 p.m.: Open Class Draft Horse, Mules Show (Horse Arena).
5:30-6:30 p.m.: Bandsaws & Boxes demonstration by NWO Woodworkers Guild (Fine Arts Building).
6 p.m.: Jr. Market Cattle Judging (Beef Show Arena).
6-10 p.m.: Mixin’ It Up Karaoke with Mike & Deb Browne (Administration Building).
6 p.m.: Harness Racing, Pari Mutuel, (Grandstand).
Aug. 4: Wood County Hospital Day, Quilt Day & Senior Citizens Day 9 a.m.-3:10 p.m.: Senior Citizens’ Day Activities, (Free Tent, Administration Building area).
1 p.m.: Wood County Antique Tractor Pull Divisions 2 & 3 (Grandstand).
1-9 p.m.: Quilt Show (Annex Building).
6 p.m.: 4 Wheel Drive Pickup Truck Pull (Grandstand), followed by Semi-truck Pull.
7-8 p.m.: Dulcimer Music by Wood County Dulcimers, Simple Sounds & Joyful Noise (Home & Garden Stage).
8-11 p.m.: Riverbend Band (free tent).
Aug. 5: Cheerleading Competition 2-3:30 p.m.: Fishing Ice – Max Church (free tent).
4-5 p.m.: Circle 8 Western Square Dance Club (free tent).
6:30 p.m.: Cheerleading competition.
8-11 p.m.: Haywire featuring Rick Spitler (free tent).
