Friends of Pearson and Metroparks of the Toledo Area are co-sponsoring a weekly lecture series in March highlighting nocturnal animals of the region.
Programs begin each Sunday at 2 p.m. at Pearson Metropark, Macomber Lodge.
Refreshments will be provided, and a naturalist will lead an optional walk following each presentation. Admission is free, but donations for refreshments will be accepted.
Program topics and presenters include:

March 20 - Shed some light on one of the more misunderstood creatures of the night – bats. Jessica Sewald, a Ph.D. candidate at Bowling Green State University, will talk about how the world might look from a bat’s perspective. She’ll also share the many ways bats are important to local ecosystems.
March 27 - Nature’s Nursery Center for Wildlife Rehabilitation and Conservation Education will showcase northwest Ohio’s owls, the great winged hunters of the night. Experience these nocturnal predators up close and discover how they live silently among us.
