The fun continues
The Sneek! Peek porch tour continues Saturday Oct. 9 from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Visitors may want to begin by touring the oldest home in town, where there will be a “boo-fet” in the kitchen featuring culinary delights. Maybe a séance in the parlor can help connect with old friends. Do you know who’s sleeping in the bed? Do you dare to learn your fate from the fortuneteller? Take a peek at the dolls and see how they are celebrating or enjoy the vintage decorations in the pantry.

Continuing on the tour, visitors will find Hansel and Gretel in need of help, friendly scarecrows with a plan to rid themselves of pesky crows, a haunted house and a special couple who has been in love for a very long time.

As is customary at any celebration there will be plenty of food (witch’s fingers or devil’s brew, anyone?), balloon fun, a headless horseman and even a juggler. Photos will be available.

At promptly 5:30 p.m., there will be a “You Are So Bootiful” costume parade for ages birth to 18. Winners will be chosen in three age categories, with $50 cash prizes awarded.

The historical society will provide trolley transportation for the comfort and convenience of visitors.

The purchase of a $5 wristband entitles youngsters to participate in all activities. Adults accompanied by children are free. A single adult pass is $3.
