“The Dance of Bliss,” by Mike Sohikian, of Genoa is among 30 pieces on display at Art de Concrete, an indoor and outdoor exhibition on display at Kuhlman Corporation in Maumee.

Kuhlman Corporation, a local supplier of concrete and masonry products, is hosting the region’s first concrete sculpture art exhibit at the company’s main headquarters, located at 1845 Indian Woods Circle, Maumee.
The free exhibition, which will run through 2010, is open to the public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Among the award-winning regional sculptors featured in the show are locals Mike Sohikian of Genoa, Nancy Shufritz of Toledo and Hans Ruebel, instructor at the Toledo Museum of Art,
Others include George Carruth, of Portland, Ore. (owner of Carruth Studios in Waterville); Lynn Olson, of Valparaiso, Ind.; Beau Bilenki of South Bend, Ind.; John Sauve’ of Brighton, Mich.; and Ken Thompson, owner of Flatlanders Studio in Blissfield, Mich.
As part of the exhibit, Kuhlman will conduct a series of concrete workshops for interested professional and student artists. Leading the seminars and hands-on workshops will be Kuhlman’s concrete specialists, along with area artists experienced in working with concrete.
“We’re delighted to host this event and hope to see it grow in scope as an annual event. Concrete is a versatile, long-lasting and exciting medium in which to work.
