June 7 through Aug. 30: Park “Marathon,” White Star Park, Blue Heron Reserve, and Wolf Creek Park. Ever wanted to run or walk a marathon but thought you couldn’t go 26 miles? Well this is your chance to do it in smaller sections, such as one or two miles at a time. Details will be posted at White Star Park (beach info board and barn info board), Blue Heron Reserve information board, and Wolf Creek Park Campground info board. Each trail that is part of the marathon will have weekly game pieces on site to be collected and turned in at the end of summer. Collect enough game pieces to equal 26 miles and you have completed the marathon. Deadline to turn in game pieces at the Park Office is Sept 15.
