Budget woes cancel teas Due to budget woes, the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Center will not offer its annual series of Dillon House Victorian Teas this year.
Begun in 1997, the teas were held in the historic Dillon House at the Hayes Presidential Center.
As a result of a 45 percent loss in its funding from the State of Ohio, the Center has closed the Dillon House and discontinued events held there, including the Victorian Teas.
The future of the Dillon House has yet to be determined. For the immediate future, the Center will retain ownership of the 1873 home.
The Hayes Presidential Center holds a number of year-round programs and events, and those will be continued.
