Oak Harbor heralding in the holiday season Dec. 11
Channel 11 will help Oak Harbor celebrate the season with a live broadcast Dec. 11 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Special events include: • Visit Santa at the Log Cabin. • Get your picture taken on the Royalty Sleigh Float. • Listen to the sounds of Kersten’s Korner and Oak Harbor Junior High Christmas caroling. • Visit St. Paul United Church of Christ’s Live Nativity. • Visit Adolphus Kraemer and other log cabin-era characters. • Make a donation to Toys for Tots or the local food banks. All donations will stay in the Oak Harbor area to help those in need during the Holiday Season. Please bring new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots, and canned goods, boxed goods, clothing, and blankets for the food drive.

Medieval Feast The Northwood Music Department will celebrate the holiday season with the 4th Annual Medieval Feast Dec. 13 at 5:30 p.m.
The feast will consist of a four-course meal, entertainment, fun and merriment for all. The feast will be led by our King Joseph Gagel and Queen Marie Dunaway.

Seating is limited. Dinner prices are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Make checks payable to Northwood Music Boosters when placing your reservation.
The Northwood High School Band and Choir will provide entertainment, as this will serve as their 2009 Holiday Concert.
Once again, the annual Alumni Sing will be held this year. All alumni are invited back to sing “Do You Hear What I Hear?” and “Carol of the Bells” with the choir. Music will be available that night in the lobby.
Spirit of Christmas Brassed Nationally-known and Bowling Green-based brass ensemble The Tower Brass Quintet will return to Trinity United Methodist Church in Bowling Green Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. to offer their popular holiday concert, “The Spirit of Christmas Brassed.”
Trinity United Methodist Church is located at 200 N. Summit St. Admission is free and there will be a free-will offering at intermission of the concert. For information, call Trinity Church at 419-353-9031.
“Love Has Come” The 70th Annual Christmas Choir Concert will be presented at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 122 W. Ottawa St., Oak Harbor, Dec. 13 at 7:30 p.m.
An organ and brass recital will precede the concert at 7 p.m. This year’s theme is “Love Has Come.” The concert will feature St. John’s Adult Choir, Children’s Choir, Junior High and High School Ensembles and the Brass Choir.
A free-will offering will be received to benefit the Doris Mylander Scholarship Fund. Refreshments will be served after the concert. The church is handicapped-accessible.
