A Ghostly Gathering is planned in downtown Pemberville Oct. 8 from 6 to 9 p.m.

The non-scary, vintage All Hallows’ Eve celebration will include a number of activities.

Pemberville’s oldest frame house, the Pember-Furry House, will be decorated and open for tours. The cost is $3 (children 12 and under free).

Riverbank Antiques will host a vintage hearse display. Beeker’s General Store will showcase nostalgic Halloween keepsakes.

Little ghosts and goblins are invited to conjure up some crafts at an area hosted by Spieldenner Gallery.

There’s no trick – a number of Halloween treats, including kettle corn, homemade donuts, fresh cider, pumpkin ice cream and more can be found along Front Street.

At 8 p.m., a pair of 1940s Halloween radio shows will be presented by the Black Swamp Players at the historic Pemberville Opera House, which will also be decorated for the holiday.

The shows will include “Don’t Tell Me About Halloween,” and “Ghost Hunters.”
