AAA Northwest Ohio has launched a new Student Membership and website designed exclusively for students age 17 to 23.

Students can now take advantage of AAA, plus additional relevant benefits not offered with AAA’s other levels of membership at a discounted price.

"The Student Membership offers peace of mind for parents and students, no matter where they are," said April Cochran, AAA Northwest Ohio Marketing Operations Manager. “With Bike Assistance, Safe Ride and Safe Tow, AAA has every student covered.”

With AAA Safe Ride, if a student member finds himself stranded or otherwise unable to get home, AAA will reimburse the cost of a cab ride as an alternative option to one of their service calls.

Also, as part of Roadside Assistance, the Safe Tow option will help the student member if he is unable to drive home safely for reasons such as medical treatment, physical injury or consumption of alcohol.

Bicycle Assistance provides transport for the member and his bike to a point of safety up to 25 miles in the event of a flat tire, broken chain or worse.

The new benefits are exclusive to the AAA Student Membership. Student Members also can take advantage of member discounts on top of exclusive E-Coupons.

“Renter’s Insurance and car maintenance are often overlooked at this stage in students’ lives,” Cochran said. “With member discounts, AAA Insurance and Car Care Plus help to keep more money in parents’ and college students’ wallets.”

The cost of a Classic Student AAA membership starts at $35.50 per year and is guaranteed for four years. Current AAA members may switch to the Student Membership at their renewal if they wish. New members may sign up at AAACampus.com, a customized site where students can select from a list of local schools and partake in interactive pages designed to emphasize all the benefits of AAA.
