Adults complete programs at Penta Forty-nine area adults completed full-time programs at Penta Career Center Adult & Continuing Education division in 2010-2011.
The students were honored May 26 during a special graduation ceremony at Penta, which featured guest speaker Wood County Sheriff Mark Wasylyshyn.
Adults who completed full-time programs included Auto Body Collision Repair student Jodie Sell, of Oregon; Automotive Technology students Kenneth Collins, of Curtice; Tammie Kirkpatrick–Smith, of Walbridge; and Steven Kropaczewski, Jr., of Oregon; Builder, Contractor & Remodeler Technology student: Imre Bertalan, of Toledo; Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration students Jeremy A. Mitchell, of Woodville; Derek Robert Plantz, of Oregon and Daniel L. Skeens, Jr., of Oregon.
Academic honors Capital University: Shayna Hague, Marie Ramirez, of Northwood; Brian Sandwisch, Carrie Moenter, Kallie Stahl, of Williston.

Graduates Twenty,seven students from the Toledo,area and Findlay,area campuses were recognized as Ohio Basic Peace Officer Training Academy graduates at Owens Community College on July 27.
Following successful completion of the training academy, graduates become eligible for certification as an Ohio peace officer. In addition, coursework earned by police academy graduates will apply toward an associate degree at Owens in law enforcement.

Art exhibit winners Ottawa County Fair School Art Exhibit ribbons were issued to the following students throughout Ottawa County. The School Art Exhibit is coordinated by the North Point Educational Service Center with the support of the Ottawa County Cabinet of Superintendents (Patrick Adkins, Port Clinton City; Daniel Parent, Danbury Local; Dennis Mock, Genoa Area Local; Diane Kershaw, Benton,Carroll,Salem Local; John Fernbaugh, Woodmore Local; and Martin Fanning, North Point E.S.C.).
