2010 Scholarship Recipients Genoa Area Local Schools Scholarship Foundation, Inc.

The Genoa Area Local Schools Scholarship Foundation, Inc. presented 52 scholarships valued at $26,095 to 35 graduating seniors at the high school’s Honors Award Program in May.
The foundation was organized by a local group of interested citizens in 1991, and has held a tax-free status with the IRS since 1994. Funds continue to grow through a community program funded by supporters of Genoa Schools, local businesses, community organizations, and a number of individuals. Currently 32 individual scholarship funds offer 42 scholarships. This includes two new scholarships that were funded in the past year –the John F. Schultz Memorial Scholarship and the Genoa Wrestling Scholarship.
In addition, 10 scholarships were given by various local businesses and organizations in conjunction with the foundation.
Students interested in information on scholarships offered through the program should contact their school counselor or principal.
