Andrea Kansorka, Cardinal Stritch High School 
With a 4.3 GPA, Andrea is ranked 2nd in the Cardinal Stritch Class of 2008.  She is a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish Club, Quiz Bowl Team, Drama Club, Philosophy Club and the Chess Club. 

This Student Council Homeroom representative is a Link Crew member, a Kairos Leader, the flutist at her church and volunteers at the Bay Park Feet and Fleet and the Walbridge Festival.

The daughter of Kim Kansorka, Andrea plans on majoring in Forensic Science at Defiance College.

Sarah Gale, Clay High School
Sarah holds a 4.057 GPA and is ranked 11th out of 272 students in the class of 2008. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Show Choir, Limelighters, Student Government and Choir.  Sarah is also a Buckeye Girls State Delegate, Challenge Day Link Team Leader and involved in Youth in Philanthropy Encouraging Excellence.  She was 1st Team All City in Tennis.

The daughter of Craig and Teresa Gale, Sarah plans on attending Ohio State University to major in business with a possible minor in pre-law.

 

 

Benjamin Sutter, Genoa High School
With a grade point average of 3.1, Benjamin ranks 20th in the class of 2008.  He is a member of the Football team, Choir and the Yearbook staff.  Benjamin is also the Captain of  the Basketball team, President of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and is active in his youth group and school musicals.

The son of Amy and Marty Sutter, Benjamin plans to attend the University of Tiffin to major in Business.

 

 

Lauren Duncan, Lake High School
Lauren holds a 3.2 GPA and is ranked 28th in Lake’s Class of 2008.  She is a member of the Art Club, the Spanish Club and Teen Institute.  Lauren also plays Tennis, Basketball and Softball.  For one year, she participated in Ohio Reads.

The daughter of Don and Karen Duncan, Lauren plans on attending Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee to become a high school math teacher.

 

 

 

Leah McRitchie, National Bank of Oak Harbor
With a 4.10 GPA, Leah has been selected as the May Student of the Month. She is ranked 7th out of 162 students in the Class of 2008.  Leah is a member of the National Honor Society and has participated in Swimming, Tennis, Thespians, Science Club and the FCCLA.

The daughter of Park and Nancy McRitchie, Leah plans to attend Bowling Green State University, majoring in either Business or Math Education.

 

 

Eloisa Zapata, Waite High School
Eloisa holds a 3.0 GPA and is ranked 35th in Waite High School’s Class of 2008. She is a member of the Art Club, Spanish Club and the Hispanic/Cultural Club.  Eloisa also participates in Experience Inside Culture, Conflict Mediation and Global Youth Parliament, as well as Upward Bound and the Indian 100 Leadership Team.  For sports, she participates in  Soccer, Softball and Track & Field.

The daughter of Manuel & Macaria Zapata, Eloisa plans to attend Bowling Green State University, majoring in Graphic Design.

 

 

Kelsey Giesler, Woodmore High School
Kelsey has a 3.687 GPA and is ranked 18th out of 96 students in the class of 2008.  She is a member of the National Honor Society, Key Club, Spanish Club and the Teen Advisory Group.  Kelsey’s other activities include the Band, Jazz Band and the Leadership Board.  She also plays Volleyball and runs Track.
   
    The daughter of Bill and Jeanie Giesler, Kelsey plans to attend Ohio Northern Univesity, majoring in Public Relations.
