Bay Park, Coy school partnership is one for the books

Bay Park Community Hospital (BPCH) has had a partnership with Coy Elementary School since 1999 (two years before the hospital was even built).

Each week during the school year, 10 to 15 employees donate an hour of their time to help students improve their reading skills. In 2005, the hospital held a book drive, which became an annual event. The Beacon Gift Shop provides books for Bay Park employees to purchase for Coy. The book drive lasts for about 30 to 45 days. The books are then delivered to the school.

Over the years, employees have purchased more than 300 books for the school.
