FFA students spread cheer
For a number of years, the Oak Harbor/Penta FFA Chapter has assisted the Ottawa County Holiday Bureau in delivering holiday baskets to families in need during the Christmas season.

On Thursday, Dec. 13, 14 students in Mr. Neiderhouse’s Structural Engineering class were in charge of spreading the holiday cheer in the village of Oak Harbor.

Fourteen students helped out with the activity, delivering baskets door to door. In the Benton-Carroll-Salem area, a total of 185 families received assistance through the Holiday Bureau program.

Terra nursing graduates
Members of the seventh class to complete the Associate Degree Nursing Program at Terra State Community College received their pins during a ceremony Dec. 13.

Among the graduates were Brandy Daley, of Oak Harbor and Holly Tyson, of Helena.

The graduates each received a Nightingale Lamp, which was lit by nursing faculty and then the entire class recited the Nightingale Pledge.
