Luncheon December 15th:         

Happy Holidays!! Come join us for lunch & hear updates from Lucas County Auditor,

Wade Kapszukiewicz & David Mann on the Land Bank program.

 

 

Remember – all luncheons are opened to the public so please bring a guest!

Luncheons are held on the 3rd Thursday of every month at Michael’s Café & Bakery at the

Weber Block.

 

Attention Board Members:

Our next Board Meeting will be Friday, December 2nd at 7:30am at the Weber Block. If you are unable to attend, please contact Andrea at 419-691-7651.

The directory is being finalized so if you haven’t paid your dues yet – your time is almost up to be included in the membership listing! Contact Andrea if you need more information.

 

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 10th is the Salvation Army Kettle Drive. Club members will be bell ringers for the entire day! Our members man the kettle at the River

 East Plaza on Main Street, working 3-4 hour shifts throughout the day. If you can give a few hours of your time, give Doug a call – 419-381-1386.

 

A reminder of our cancellation policy for bad weather conditions: If the Toledo Public Schools cancel due to weather, the East Toledo Club will cancel its activity as well.

 

We are continuing to collect donations for the Waite High School Food Baskets. If you would like to help provide support for local families, please bring your monetary donation to the upcoming luncheons. You can also mail your donation to:

319 3rd Street, Toledo, OH 43605 with checks made payable to the East Toledo Club.

Please help make this holiday a joyous time for everyone!

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT – THE HOLIDAYS ARE ALMOST HERE! BELOW ARE THE ACTIVITIES THE CLUB HAS PLANNED TO VOLUNTEER FOR DURING THE HOLIDAY SEASON.

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 2nd we will be participating in the Old Newsboy’s paper drive at the Anderson’s at the Woodville Mall.

On December 15th, Wade Kapszukiewicz, Lucas County Treasurer & David Mann, Executive Director of the Land Bank program will be our guest speakers,

updating the group on the Land Bank.

 

On January 19th, Dean Monske, Toledo’s top economic development official will be our guest speaker.

“Pennies for Paving”

The East Toledo Club is partnering with the community to show our East Side Pride! We are asking for you to donate your “pennies” to help raise funds to pave the way into the Waite High School football parking lot. Any & all donations are greatly appreciated.

Luncheon/Speaker for January:

January 20th:  Mark your calendars & plan on joining us at Michael’s Café & Bakery for our monthly luncheon.  The speaker this month will be Wade Kapszukiewicz, Lucas County Treasurer to discuss the Land Bank Program. 

   
Board Members:

The club members are going to attend a Walleye Hockey game on Saturday, February 19th.  It is “Hockey History Night”!  If you/your family members/friends would like to attend, please contact Andrea at 419-691-7651 by February 5th, as we have to purchase tickets. 
The cost will be the price of the ticket – we will probably meet at a local restaurant before the game if you are interested in making it a night out on the town!!

The Board would like to thank all of our members that have donated to the Waite High School Food Basket Drive.  Due to your generosity we were able to donate $312 to local families in need of a helping hand this holiday season.  Your kindness continues to show what a dedicated and committed group of people belong to the East Toledo Club.

Thank you to all members that generously donated their time during the month of December.  Whether it was with the Old Newsboys, the Salvation Army Drive, or helping at the Holiday Parade, we thank you for your time and support to make each of the activities a success.
