Traffic signal not warranted, says ODOT

A request by the Lake Township trustees to have a traffic signal installed at the corner of State Route 51 and Millbury Road has been turned down by the Ohio Department of Transportation.

The trustees were advised of the decision in a letter from ODOT’s Michael Stormer, district planning engineer.

Local gymnastics team wins state title

After only being open for six months, Next Level Gymnastics’ Level 6 Team recently won the National Division team State Title.

Among the teams competing were Cincinnati Gymnastics Academy, Queen City Gymnastics and Gym X-Treme, to name a few, each whose enrollment number well into the thousands. Next Level’s enrollment is currently 60.

More than 120 Ottawa County seniors “sprung into happiness” April 13 with the first of what is hoped to be an annual event.

Hosted by the Ottawa County Senior Activity Committee and sponsored by Walker Family Funeral Homes and Otterbein North Shore Retirement Living Community, seniors from Ottawa County and surrounding areas danced to the Big Band sounds of “Night Session” at the Community Markets VFW Memorial Hall in Oak Harbor.
