Annual festival celebrates autumn in all its glory

Autumn. Its debut on Sept. 22 brings the prospect of cool, crisp days, colorful foliage, pumpkins and the like.

If you love fall, Sept. 26 is your Luckey day.

So is Sept. 27.

And the 28th.

That's because those are the dates for the 26th annual Luckey Fall Festival in Basic Park on Adams Street between St. Rt. 582 (Krotzer Ave.) and Gilbert Road.

Owens Community College will raise awareness about the importance of emergency preparedness in higher education, the workplace and the community with a series of events and activities as part of the first-ever Emergency Preparedness Safety Week titled “Your Safety Starts Here,” planned for Sept. 14 to 21.

The public is encouraged to join the campus community for guest speakers, workshops and educational awareness programs.
