The Punt, Pass & Kick competition will return this year for the 3rd edition of The Andersons Pack the Parks Family Fun Day, Saturday, Sept. 20 at Pearson and Wildwood Preserve Metroparks.

Additional sponsors of this year’s event are Buckeye CableSystem and 7UP.

Free picnic lunches will be served and high school bands will perform to create a fall/homecoming frame of mind.

The NFL’s Punt Pass & Kick competition from 9 to 11 a.m. is for boys and girls 8 to 15. Last year’s national winner, Lucas McCullough of Luckey, will be there to root on this year’s contestants. Registration and a copy of a birth certificate are required to enter. Registration forms are available at The Andersons stores and at the Pearson park offices.

Picnic lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Lunches are free with a ticket, available at the local Andersons locations or for $1 on the day of event.

Also from 11 to 5, Buckeye CableSystem will sponsor children’s activities and bag toss.

Local high school marching bands will perform from noon to 3 p.m., followed by rousing performances by high school cheerleader squads from 3 to 5 p.m.
