Doggy fashionsBird Dog Bay handmade ties have a long-standing pedigree that always keep men looking their “Best in Show.” The neckwear is 100 percent silk, hand-printed, handmade, born and bred in Chicago at Bird Dog Bay Studio.

The ties will be among the wide variety of items available at the Country Garden Club’s 2010 Holiday Trunk Show set for Oct. 11-13 at the Carranor Hunt and Polo Club, 502 East Second St., Perrysburg.

“This show is a great kick off to the holiday season, said Virginia Keller, chair of this year’s show. “It’s a very festive and exciting atmosphere, everyone that comes is excited to shop and have a good time.”

This year’s show will feature more than 25 exclusive boutiques from around the country. Festivities will kick off with a preview party Oct. 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. The $30 admission includes dinner, which begins at 7:30 p.m., and all other trunk show events. Cash bar available. Reservations are required for preview party.

 

There is a $5 admission to shop at the boutiques Oct. 12 and 13. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Luncheon is available for $10 per person at the Carranor Café from 11a.m. to 2 p.m. both days.

Shopping and champagne will be available from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Oct. 12. Admission is $5. An appetizer buffet will be available for $5 at the Carranor Café. Cash bar will also be available.

Proceeds from the sale benefit community projects, with nearly $425,000 having been donated to fund projects such as the Way Public Library landscaping and reading patio, the W.W. Knight Nature Center Educational Lab, Hospice of Northwest Ohio, the Perrysburg Heights Community Center, “Veggie-U,” the City of Perrysburg Gateways project, the Perrysburg Area Arts Council sculpture garden and Growing to Give.
