Summer is fast approaching and it seems everyone's hitting the road for trips, picnics, graduation parties and other events.
To help ensure your safety on the road, a Car Fit program will be held June 2 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. behind the Elder-Beerman at the Woodland Mall, 1234 N. Main St., Bowling Green.
The event, sponsored by Wood County Committee on Aging, along with AARP, the Wood County Hospital, Browning Masonic Retirement Community and the Wood County Sheriff's Office; will include 12-point vehicle assessments and help educate participants on how to keep safe while motoring. The first 25 participants through the checkpoint will receive a free lunch.
For more information, call the Wood County Committee on Aging at 419-353-5661 or 1-800-367-4935.
