On your mark, get set, and go to The Toledo Zoo for the 6th annual Dart Frog Dash Saturday, May 15.
The 5K race/walk takes participants on a wild journey in and around zoo grounds. For the littlest racers, there’s a special 1K Kids Run.
The 5K walk/run begins at 8:30 a.m., and the 1K kids’ race starts at 9:45 a.m. Awards will be given to the top three overall males and females for the 5K, and all kids in the 1K will receive a finisher’s ribbon.
This year, the Dart Frog Dash will also feature disposable chip timing, which ensures faster results.
Register online at www.toledozoo.org/events/dartfrogdash, where a complete set of registration rules and guidelines are also available. Late registration is available online until 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 13.
The Dart Frog Dash is presented by Mercy Children’s Hospital and sponsored by Assurant Health and Meijer.
The Toledo Zoo is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (10 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends in May) and is located on the Anthony Wayne Trail (US 25), four miles south of downtown Toledo.
