McDonald's All American High School Basketball Game, was named co-MVP of the game along with Meighan Simmons, from Steele High School in Cibolo, Texas and representing the West All-Stars. The game was played at Value City Arena on the campus of the Ohio State University, the same location where Howard led Waite to a Division I state runner-up finish a week earlier. The following is a quote from an article written by Ronnie Flores for the ESPN RISE web site:  "Howard made the most impact for the East All-Stars with her energy, running the floor and overall inside-outside game.”
