Terra collecting items for Haitian relief effort

Terra Community College in Fremont is among local places serving as a collection sites for ISOH/IMPACT’s disaster relief efforts for the victims of the Jan. 12 earthquake in Haiti.

The immediate needs at this time are:
 • Bottled water
 • Canned food and other non-perishable food items
 • Over the counter medications including Neosporin and Children’s Tylenol
 • First Aid kits
 • Personal hygiene items
 • Bagged rice and beans
 • Manual can openers
 • Diapers, wipes and baby care items
 • Five-gallon buckets with lids
 • Rubber gloves and masks
 • Paper towels and toilet paper
 • Flashlights and batteries
 • Large Trash Bags
 • Brooms, dustpans, mops and mop heads
 • Cots and new blankets
 • Tents, tarps, ropes and duct tape
 • Bleach and laundry detergent
 • Sponges, scrubbing pads and cleaning towels
 • Spray and liquid cleaners (409, Pine Sol, etc.)
 • Cash donations to help offset packaging and shipping costs
 No glass items or clothing will be accepted.
 Terra will accept items Jan. 19 through Feb. 2. Drop-off boxes will be located in buildings A, B and E on campus.
 Donations may also be dropped off at any area Tireman Auto Service Center and at ISOH/IMPACT’s Waterville warehouse located at 905 Farnsworth Rd. in Waterville. There is a P.O.D.S. container onsite at the Waterville Warehouse for 24/7 drop-offs. Cash and credit card donations may be made online at www.isohimpact.org or sent directly to the ISOH/IMPACT offices at 25182 W. River Rd., Perrysburg, OH 43551.
