Bowling Green Fraternal Order of Eagles will hold a Toys for Tots Fundraiser in memory of Mike Sponsler Nov. 7 at 7:30 a.m. at the Bowling Green Aerie located at 1163 N. Main St.

Breakfast is open to the public and will be served from 7:30-11 a.m. Eagle members and guests are invited to watch football, eat and participate in raffles for Toys for Tots. A Mexican dinner will be served to members and guests from 5 to 8 p.m. The public is invited to the “Dowling Road Band” concert beginning at 8 p.m. The cover charge is $2 per person or an unwrapped gift. All of the proceeds and gifts will be donated to Toys for Tots.

“Mike, an active Eagle member, lost his life in a motorcycle accident, and Toys for Tots was his favorite charity,” said Sandy Snow, Bowling Green Eagle member. “We hope the community will join us in our efforts to help Toys for Tots while remembering Mike.”

The Bowling Green Aerie was instituted into the local community in 1935 and has grown to approximately 390 members of the local community. The Bowling Green Auxiliary, home to more than 270 members of the local community, was founded in the local community in 1948. The Bowling Green F.O.E. supports the community and follows the International F.O.E. motto of ‘People Helping People’ by donating approximately $30,000 annually to local and national organizations such as the local youth groups and county groups and the local schools. They continue to rent out their aerie at little or no cost.
