Unity dinner planned

The United Muslims Association of Toledo will present their 13th Annual Unity Dinner, “Islam and Community Service” Oct. 25 at 4:30 p.m. at the Stranahan Great Hall, 4645 Heatherdowns Blvd. Toledo.

Speakers will include Cherif Bassiouni, professor of law at DePaul University in Chicago and Imam Yusif Ali, Al-Warith Deen Islamic Center, Cleveland.

NICU trick-or-treat reunion

Mercy Children’s Hospital invites Newborn Intensive Care Unit graduates and their families to a Halloween Trick-or-Treat Reunion Oct. 24 from 1-4 p.m. at the Mercy Children’s Outpatient Building, 2222 Cherry St., Toledo.

Guests are invited to come together, share stores and meet with nurses and physicians who cared for them when the patients were at their tiniest and most fragile. Special activities will include face painting, a hayride, a hay maze and rides on the Life Flight mini-helicopter. Costumes are encouraged.
