Arnie Sutter's YMCA Cavs Western Basin Toledo Preseason Shooting Clinic is still accepting campers.

The camp, held at the Oregon YMCA, began Monday, Oct. 19 and continues through Friday, Oct. 30.

"Players from the University of Toledo men's and women's basketball team are coming in to help out," said Sutter, a Genoa resident and publisher of Western Basin Toledo Magazine. "Members of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes are coming out, and we have the support of the Oregon Community Family Coalition, a new organization trying to prevent substance abuse.

"The Cavaliers are taking care of a lot of the (camp) awards. The last two years they've probably given out 100 T-shirts and pictures of the Cavs. They've given out bracelets and pencils, just promotional things from the Cavs. There is a possibility they're going to send (a player) next Wednesday."

Sutter said campers can still register through the YMCA by calling 419-691-3523. Camp times are 6:30-7:30 p.m. for grades 5-8, and 7:30-8:30 p.m. for grades 9-12.
