Eagle Scout candidate Holden Sondergeld, of Gibsonburg, is planning a 5K Pumpkin Run and one-mile Gourd Walk/Run Oct. 25.

The Pumpkin Run 5k will be at 2 p.m. beginning at the fire hall, 104 E. Front St., Pemberville and ending at Legion Hall, Memorial Dr. Water/Fruit Station.

The Gourd Walk/Run  will start at 1:30 p.m. at the fire hall, and will finish at the same location.

Holden, 16, is a member of Troop #344 of Pemberville. The entry fee is $10 and a bag of canned food (minimum five items per bag). Proceeds raised will benefit the Pemberville/Eastwood Area Community Food Pantry. For more information, call 419-637-4313. 

Pre-registration must be postmarked by Oct 19 to take advantage of the early registration fee of $10. Race-day registration, which will be held from noon to 1:15 p.m. at the fire hall, will be $20. A race t-shirt will be given to those who donate food.
