For the past eight months, Yeeha's Bucking Bar & Grill, 3150 Navarre Ave., Oregon, has been running Northwest Ohio’s first and only free shuttle service Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Since the shuttle started, more than 1,000 passengers have taken advantage of the service. The goal was to get people home safely if they feel they may have had to much to drink.
“Often I have seen intoxicated people decide not to drive, call a cab, then decide to brave it after having to wait too long,” said Justin Badas, head of security at Yeeha's. “Our shuttle is free, fast, and convenient for customers to get home quickly.”
The Yeeha's shuttle is also available for pick-ups seven nights a week. “If you have a group of four or more who want to come to Yeeha’s for the night, simply call in and make an appointment and they will come to get you and deliver you home safely,” Badas said, adding that the service has been very popular with bachelor/bachelorette parties, birthday parties, and wedding parties.
This year Yeeha’s will be providing service to and from the German American Festival Aug. 28 and 29. Festival-goers can park in Yeeha’s parking lot and take the shuttle to the gate at the GAF shuttle/bus drop off point.
The service will run every 20 to 30 minutes round trip (depending on traffic density) Friday 5 p.m. through midnight and Saturday 1 p.m. to midnight.
Riding the shuttle will help festival-goers avoid parking fees and save $1 dollar on admission to the GAF.
