ROSSFORD - As a kid, it may have seemed like it took an eternity for that month between Thanksgiving and Christmas to pass.
Make the waiting a little easier for your little ones with a trip to Santa’s Wonderland, open every weekend at Bass Pro Shops, 10000 Bass Pro Boulevard.
Each Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. through Dec. 21, bring the kids to the Santa’s Wonderland for crafts and other holiday fun.
On Nov. 22 and 23, kids will make hand-made paper chains. On Nov. 29 and 30, they’ll create Santas out of fishing bobbers. The Dec. 6 and 7 craft includes fun reindeer hats. On Dec. 13 and 14, kids will transform candy canes into reindeer and on Dec. 20 and 21, they’ll have sweet fun decorating cookies for Santa.
The holiday fun also includes a Bachmann old-time model trains area, Fisher Price® remote control cars, a Red Ryder laser arcade, a Nerf soft gun range and activity tables where kids can color and write a letter to Santa. It’s all absolutely free.
Santa will be in residence in Wonderland throughout the season. Get a free 4 x 6 photo with him and his reindeer from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday noon to 5 p.m., with extended hours beginning Nov. 27. If the line is long, grab a Bass Pass and your appointment with Santa will be set.
While at Bass Pro Shops contribute a toy for the “Toys for the Kids” drive to benefit the local Salvation Army and contribute to the USO’s Operation Care Package and your local AMVETS organization.
