Fremont plant expanding
First Choice Packaging has announced it is investing approximately $1.6 million into its W. State Street facility in Fremont and creating about nine jobs in the process.
The company plans to purchase a new automated thermoformer, install a new roof, and make infrastructure improvements to the 290,000 square-foot building to accommodate the new equipment.
“The new thermoformer will add capacity, increase efficiencies and reduce costs by as much as 40% in some instances” said Paul Tomick, chairman and owner at FCP. “This will allow us to expand into new markets, particularly the food and possibly medical markets with some additional investment.”
Established in 1985, First Choice Packaging is a packaging solutions manufacturer that provides custom thermoform packaging. It serves a variety of customers in consumer, commercial and industrial packaging applications including food, pharma, medical, and transportation.
